Mark Zuckerberg, billionaire

1. What do you make of Mark Zuckerberg's life? According to the article, he is worth over 6 billion dollars. He rents a 2 bedroom bungalow. Why?

I think Zuckerberg is trying to be as normal as possible. Yes, he created facebook - the most popular networking site and yes, he is a billionaire but I don't think it's something that he has completely grasped yet. If he has, he is completely humble. He could go buy a mansion or a condo and be in the limelight all the time but he doesn't do that. He is so shy that he would rather be in a bungalow with his girlfriend, rather than out partying, like the way they portray him in the movie, "Social Network". He is worth well over 6 billion dollars and he is staying grounded, I think people assumed his character would change because of the money.

3. Zuckerberg claims that his appearance on Oprah was to announce a 100 Million dollar donation to Newark Schools. Do you think this philanthropy is genuine, or did he do this to coincide with the release of the "unauthorized", "fictional" tale of his life? Is this just good marketing?

In the clip Zuckerberg seems genuine with his donation and I think he was. Oprah had even mentioned that he originally wanted to come on the show to announce his donation on September 10 but she was not filming during that time. His appearance and the release date of the movie was just a coincidence. I'm not aware but has he even done any other t.v appearances? If not that obviously shows that he wasn't there for the movie but for his announcement.

This is a little empty.

"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right. You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together."
- Marilyn Monroe
